Charlize Theron, Richard Branson and the Dalai Lama to Speak at UCI

Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson and His Holiness XIV Dalai Lama will take the stage at UCI as part of a speakers series on peace. 

Called the Living Peace Series, the moderated talks will be about making the world a healthy, sustainable and compassionate place. Theron, who'll appear on Dec. 4, will discuss her outreach project which aims to create a safer and healthier life for impoverished children and communities of South Africa, with a particular focus on those suffering from HIV/AIDS. Branson, speaking on Jan. 5, 2011, will talk about the non-profit foundation Virgin Unite, which connects people to tackle tough social and environmental problems. And on May 4, 2011, the Dalai Lama will make his return to UCI to speak on compassion and global leadership.
