Back in March, the Liberal OC noted that Social Distortion head man Mike Ness attended a fundraiser for SanTana Mayor Don Papi Pulido but didn's share how much OC's ultimate outlaw musician donated, if any.
Might as well share it now: $1,000.
Why someone who has represented working-class OC sensibilities in his music for decades would donate money to one of the dorkiest people alive actually isn't that much of a mystery. Ness lived in SanTana's ritzy Floral Park neighborhood--the same area where the Don Papi keeps a magisterial hacienda--earlier this century, and the man must grease the wheels of politicians that keep the rich rich, after all. However...
...we're just disappointed that someone like Ness, who has long rightfully railed against authority, would support the epitome of an Orange County politico. I actually don't know much Social D music outside the obvious (I was always more of an Adolescents guy, anyway) so leave it up to ustedes gentle readers to make up some puns!
