The top floor of the Mickey & Friends parking structure.
The incident occurred sometime prior to 8:45 p.m. Sunday at the parking structure located at the corner of Magic Way and Walnut Street.

Authorities believe the man is in his 40s or early 50s. No identification was found on the body, but a suicide note was discovered.

UPDATE, THURS., OCT. 21, 4:18 P.M.: The man has been identified as Ghassan Trabulsi, 61, of Monrovia. Trabulsi passed away from numerous traumatic injuries as a result of the jump from what police believe to be the top floor of the parking structure, which stands six stories high. Authorities say the suicide note Trabulsi left behind indicated he was undergoing several "personal issues."

You are all complete idiots. You don't make jokes about people who have passed on. It can hurt people still living, and all you pussies who won't put your real name, email, URL, anything, really has it coming. Karmas a bitch, and things like this happen everyday. Every 16 minutes a person commits suicide and every 17 minutes a person is left wondering why. There are mental disorders out there that people are diagnosed with that they cannot help. They just have them He may have been depressed, or even bipolar. But of course, you illiterate idiots will never know the extent of education. You learn to be part of society. Grow a heart. This person was not just "some random person who had no meaning in your life". Yeah you had no fucking clue who he was, but you respect the ones who do have a fucking clue who! They are still alive and after reading this would probably pay millions to put their hands on someone who would insult someone. The bible references do not need to be said, so cut that out. It boils down to the fact of being a respectful human being instead of being a complete bonehead over the internet. GROW UP. You illiterate unknowledgable fucking idiots. It's common knowledge to know to not insult the ones who passed, it hurts the ones who haven't! Now what I actually wanted to post on this before all these complete fucking no-hearted citizens commented on this was;my heart goes out to his family. sometimes we don't know why people do the things they do. I have dealt with suicide in my life too, and it becomes easier every day. -AnnMarie

ps. Fuck you half the people who commented on this post.

@Ktrabulsi

I didn't mean to attack you, but you should understand that it's a bit difficult for me since I don't know him.

What I really want to say is, my mother, your first cousin, and my grandmother (your aunt) and her sister (your other aunt) are really torn because of this whole thing. They're devastated, and although he's been away from them for 20 years, they're acting as if he left yesterday and died today.

If this is in fact Ghassan Trabulsi's son please contact me via the e-mail I mentioned above. It is only fair to my mother and grandmother to have some answers. Like where he was buried, and some other details that are haunting them.

I would just like to say that this man's sister is my grandmother. And his niece is my mother. He vanished from his home country (Lebanon) 20 years ago, no one had heard anything about him till now.About ktrabulsi, I do know he has a son, but I know he's a pilot...I've never heard anything about him being in the army...Second, please tell your mother that she is not human for waiting 10 days to tell his 2 sisters that he died.Third, I've never met the man, and I do feel some sort of compassion because I heard he had cancer before he committed suicide, but if I had met him, I would not have been welcoming him, he left his family, people who were depending on him, he abandoned them and made them look for him for 20 years, only to find out that he committed suicide.I and my mother are the only ones who know that he committed suicide, we decided to spare my grandmother this detail.

Ktrabulsi, if you can contact me: bekdash.tarek@live.co.uk

If it is really you that is.

Not saying this is completely true, but working at Disney...

He fell from the third or fourth floor, not enough to kill him. He was alive when they found him on the ground.

I doubt this is true but the medic guy said he did not want to be revived.

To ktrabulsi-All I have to say to you is, why did your sick and dying father have to walk 25 MILES to get treatment? You act like a badass on here, yet you were too busy to care for your dad? Maybe that is why he felt so desperate he would ignore the thousands of SMALL CHILDREN in the vicinity and jump off a building that will scar them the rest of their lives.

I feel bad for your dad having such a pitiful excuse for a "son" that he would rather die than share the earth with you any longer.

Disney has made itself an altar of homosexuality and child sexualization. So I wonder if that was in the note.

Miley and Aquilara (spelling) are examples of disney being a pied piper leading our children onto a path to sexual deviant lifestyle. They are disney creations and half the employees are gay.

I made the second comment listed and I defend it as my comment was against Disneyland and the way they handle events like this at their establishment. I honestly feel they use tragic events as free publicity and show no respect for the situation. I have not heard any comment from Disney about this incident, have you? Where are they on the issue of helping the family? Where are they on the issue of helping the staff that deal with horrible situations? Disney would rather push it all under the rug as if it never happened, hope it turns into an urban legend, and then profit from it. I made no joke about the persons death. I have no comment. There is nothing to say in a situation like this. We know someone was in enough mental or physical pain to commit suicide. It is tragic either way. Disney should have been making a public statement about the tragic situation instead of letting it become a minute article in a few places. Suicide needs to be brought into the light, no one should ever feel that they need to kill themselves to escape constant pain. I agree that there are a lot of callous remarks here and that people use the internet as a way of hiding while being insensitive and cruel. I just don't want my comment to be misinterpreted as one of them.

Why did your father Ghassan Trabulsi choose to commit suicide in such a public place in such a public fashion?

Why would he walk 25 miles to get cancer treatment? No bus, bike, or car? No loving son or daughter who defends him and threatens anonymous people on the internet to take care of their sick father or drive him around?

Did your dad at least go into the park or downtown disney or just walk into the parking structure from off the street?

Please stop your false drivel. I liked the over the edge pun. Peace to Mr. Trabulsi's soul.

@ktrabulsi:

A 25-mile walk? And he was walking it while being treated for cancer? Why?These people making jokes are cowards? No, they just have a different perspective and are quite distant form the story. Welcome to the public media. Peace to Trabulsi's soul.

it would be one thing if the site were labeled sarcastic and sadistic news stories. but obviousley the writer wanted to draw attention to an act of desperation that has impacted many peoples lives. so the respect issue is true. treat people with respect in their time of sorrow unless you have something personal against them. then that would be one thing. but obviously this news site must be a joke. if not then why do people treat this story with such contempt for another human being. if someone wrote in and said he was a jackass and i knew him personally i would have more respect for them but why assault someone whose grief you don't even know.

Jesus will judge us all. even know.

I have to wonder, if these clowns would be so brave, if they thought one of the admins of this site was a family member of the guy that died, and also happened to be an ex special forces commando.

You're right, I am not one to judge, but I do know a weird and abnormal person when I meet one and if I was in his family I would have noticed this and got him help... BUT all joking aside people really don't take things like this seriously now days and especially the signs of a major mental breakdown that might lead one to commit suicide. We all need to treat people how we want to be treated and when we come into contact w/ these "abnormal" or not so social people we notice something out of the ordinary, take the time to speak w/ that person and see who they really are... maybe they are not whom you might think they were from judging them on the outside.

Please stop making god refernce. Not everyone believes in it so stop. He was selfish to publize his death. Why couldn't he just do it in his own home? Now he's making whoever is reading or watching the news suffer by seeing this. I don't care who he is or why he jumped because there's millions and millions of other people. He's just a random person that has no meaning to my life.

Of coarse people will make jokes. Life is serious enough, get over it. The man was selfish and insane. If you want to die, do it in a way that it won't affect anyone else. The tragic part would be if he was seen by any kids there.

Ignore the trolls! My heart too goes out to his family and friends. Suicide/depression is something that is faux pas in society today and all too often people like the negative commenters on this sad story take advantage of people when they're down.I am happy to see there are equally enough good people posting as bad. I believe in karma too. google twloha (aka To Write Love on Her Arms) it's a beautiful reach out and facebook has a group for people<3 REst in Peace .

I can not believe what is going on here. I am not going to attack the "jokes" but what have we turned into. Even if he did bad things in this world and made a selfish decision to do what he did does not mean we should make fun of what happened. He thought he had no where to turn. He is no longer here. Survival of the fittest? That is insane. Please tell me that you are trying to be "cool" and you really don't think that? I am terrified of what we are becoming. Please tell me inside you feel sadness because a person, one of us, lost his life. Oh God help us all. Thank you for the mercy you have for us all even when we make bad choices. Words are powerful and I pray that no one stuggling reads these comments that are meant for hurt.

Sad stuff happens all the time. People die every minute. I see nothing wrong with joking about these things. There is always a family or extenuating circumstances and yeh it's sad but get over it. Or how bout the thought that maybe he did have no family or maybe he was a child rapist. You don't know him either.

Also, does no one believe in survival of the fittest? People who commit suicide obviously can't handle life and helping the gene pool in such an over populated world should be trophy-worthy. Have you not heard of Darwin awards? They are awesome.

ShakinBoots
ShakinBoots

@get over yourself..You need to get over YOURSELF. You have no idea the pain this guy was obviously going through. You'd better hope you never do.

You don't need to know the guy or his family personally to feel sadness or compassion for them. You think because you disn't know him, its ok to disrespect a human being and the incredible pain he must have gone through? You are absolutely disgusting.

The jokes people have tried to make here, including the "no pun intended...lie" are not even remotely funny regardless of the circumstances. They are just not funny. Seriously, do not quit your day jobs.

It is NOT okay to make fun of someone who felt so hopeless that he felt he had to die. It is just not ok by any human point of view.

It's sad. Im prayers go out to his family and friends. Cause in the end it was a tragedy. As for the foolish comments people post it's all about Karma and in life you will reap what you sow.

"Think of the kids" line of reasoning is silly within the context. Obviously the guy was not thinking of anyone but himself if he committed suicide.

The real question is who pays $$ to park in the lot to kill themselves? There are plenty of free places to jump from high places. I'm sure once Disney security works with Anaheim PD they'll find video of this individual in the park with others. Either some type of confrontation occurred, a fight or a breakup, or else he premeditated his suicide, wanting one last ride.

Unfortunately neither we the public nor the media will get enough info to piece together the 5 Ws of this individual's actions. Some other story will eclipse this one.

Finally, I wonder what Disney's response will be. Additional security in the parking structure? More cameras? Higher fencing along the edges of the structure? Barbed wire? Signs stating to stay away from edges? I'd bet there will be something, whatever they find to be cheapest and easiest.

My condolences go out to the friends and family of this individual and to those at the scene who will be affected for a long time, if not their entire lives. The fact that he took his life at Disneyland may speak to something that happened in his life/childhood or it may just be where he was when he was feeling so distraught. It is sad for everyone involved when people lose hope to the point of taking their own life. Let us remember to tell one other how much we love and appreciate each other! Let love and hope live!

disturbed?
disturbed?

So calling all the people ripping on this guy "disturbed"? Really??? How disturbing do you think this person's selfish act of throwing himself from the top of the parking structure at "the happiest place on earth" is? How selfish and inconsiderate to ruin people's family vacations? How disturbing this must have been for all those KIDS to see as they got off the tram after a fun filled day at Disneyland?!?! Nobody forced this man over the edge, he did it to himself! It IS sad for his family too though, as they did NOT ask for this.

Way over myself
Way over myself

@ Get over yourself. Maybe you should learn something about respect. If not, Karma has a way of working things out.

How Disturbing
How Disturbing

This thread is ridiculous. How can you joke about this? I mean as a former cast member, i'm the first one to rip on Disney and its prices and what not, but this is outrageous. Obviously this person was disturbed enough to take his own life, does he need to be chastised after dying too? Karma. That's all.

I know it seem to be the wrong place, but I have to feel that someone was so distraught that they had to take their own life to get rid of the pain. Also to his friends and family that are left with all the unanswered questions and the feeling that they could have helped.I know none of you know him, he had people in his life that cared for him.Hopefully it never happens to anyone making all these ucky comments.
