If you've been sitting on the sidelines of this year's election campaigns, waiting for advice from someone you know and trust so as to figure out who to vote for... you're going to be kept waiting. In other news, though,
Orly Taitz, the Laguna Niguel dentist and lawyer whose big hobby is suing
Barack Obama, has weighed in on a much-watched local race.
On
September 17, she posted an item on her blog asking her readers to support
Van Tran, the Republican challenger to the Democratic incumbent,
Loretta Sanchez, in California's 47th congressional district. "PLEASE, SUPPORT PRO JOBS, PRO-SANITY CANDIDATE VAN TRAN FOR CONGRESS," the birther leader, recently fined $20,000 by a federal judge, wrote.
And
yesterday, she put out a request for Spanish-speaking birthers to help her use a Spanish-language social networking site to assist Tran in defeating Sanchez.
She has also been fervently blogging about her support for
Sharron Angle, the Tea Party-packed candidate challenging Democratic Senate Majority Leader
Harry Reid for his seat. "GOOD NEWS!" she wrote on September 27 "A buss [sic] will be going Vegas on October 22-23 to support both Sharon Angle and Congressional delegates. If elections in NV are not rigged, as they are in CA, we should be able to make a difference."
Taitz also reported spending some time at Newport Beach's Balboa Bay Club, in a "small group reception" with House Minority Whip
Eric Cantor and OC ex-U.S. Representative
Chris Cox. She cautioned on her blog that the "meeting dealt with other issues, so please don't harass those congressmen with phone calls, they will not talk about eligibility." Nevertheless, Cantor has
taken pains to distance himself from Taitz in the past. So maybe he regrets this picture:
