Loretta Sanchez and Hugh Hefner--Together, At Last. Again.

​U.S. News and World Report (they still exist) reported yesterday on a manufactured controversy by the Republican Party against their eternal llorona, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez. Seems Playboy founder and publisher Hugh Hefner tweeted earlier this week that he was having lunch with Loretta at the Playboy Mansion.

The tweet got the attention of Joanna Burgos, some hack or other for the National Republican Congressional Committee and a woman who continues to send me her whiny, breathless Loretta attacks even though I've asked her time and time again to stop. The Reeps, of course, think they can finally beat her with termed-out Assemblyman Van Tran--and this is where the fun begins.
"She can't meet w/ constituents or accept a debate challenge but..RT @hughhefner Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez is having lunch at the Mansion," Burgos tweeted. Her boss, Ken Spain, chimed in as well, leading to another tweet by Hef stating Loretta was lunching with him for fundraising purposes.

Oh, Loretta...why? You know that the GOP will try and paint you as a hoochie cha-cha devuelta, and you know the mere mention of Playboy will piss off some conservative wabs (although that doesn't necessarily translate into said wabs voting for the anti-Mexican, anti-reason Tran). Did you learn nothing from your attempted fundraiser during the 2000 election at the mansion, which you ultimately canned due to pressure from others? Are you now bolder than ever? Auditioning for Playboy's "The MILFs of Capitol Hill" issue? Hope Hef signed some pretty big check for you--but, above all, we are glad you're pissing off the GOP for another non-issue!
