20 Illegal Immigrants Busted Landing Boat at Calafia State Beach This Morning

​Twenty undocumented immigrants trying to enter the U.S. illegally by sea were arrested this morning at Calafia State Beach in San Clemente.

The 17 men and three women, all from Mexico, were riding in a small craft that hit land about 3 a.m., according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

​People in the boat tried to flee from officers, according to the Border Patrol's San Diego office.

A 36-year-old woman who suffered a broken leg while jumping from the boat was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Her boatmates were taken to a Border Patrol station for processing.
