The goal is to get shoppers to bring their own reusable bags to stores.
"By encouraging consumers to bring reusable bags when they shop, AB1998 is helping to create a zero waste economy and system for our shopping habits," reads an announcement from Surfrider.
Bag Monster and his pals are scheduled to arrive at 10 a.m. at state Sen. Lou Correa's District Office, 2323 N. Broadway, Ste. 245, Santa Ana.
It's on to state Sen. Tom Harman's District Office at 950 South Coast Drive, Ste. 240, Costa Mesa, at 11:30 a.m.
Then, at 1 p.m., the Bag Monster is scheduled to have leapt traffic to reach the district office of state Sen. Mimi Walters at 2403 El Toro Road, Ste. 210, Laguna Hills.
