A tribute show will be held in Fullerton tonight for Julian "Jules" Stanley Collender, the skater and former record label owner who was gunned down by Brea Police in front of his parents' Yorba Linda home in June.

The Big's Grill show begins at 9 p.m.

After the jump, see the flier and find out why a petition to the Orange County District Attorney's Office will be circulated . . .

Here is the Brea Police account of the suspect shooting: A victim of an armed robbery in the parking lot of the Mercado Del Rio shopping center in Yorba Linda recognized Collender as the gunman. Brea Police, who patrol Yorba Linda, waited outside his parents' home on Avenida de Marcia in the early morning hours of June 30 until the 25-year-old showed up. Collender is alleged to have "confronted" the officers before one shot was fired into his stomach. He later died of that single gunshot wound at a local hospital.

The petition going around at tonight's show will ask the District Attorney's Office, which investigates all officer-involved shootings in Orange County, "
to complete an accurate, fair, and complete investigation and to prosecute the Brea PD shooter," according to Michele Collender, the sister of Jules.

She claims Brea Police have left her family totally in the dark about the case.
