Which is Cheaper: Walgreens or Rite Aid?

• My Master's is in a discipline that could have brought me into the corporate world, but thanks to Rite Aid I became a public employee. Sorry capitalist wanna-be's, but you and I both know that big business today treats its employees like shit and is undeserving of anyone's loyalty.

• Very unimpressed by Rite Aid. When they took over a local Thrifty, I went to have my friend's prescription refilled. The phamacist said in a loud voice, "Oh, your friend has AIDS. This is one of the medicines for AIDS." My friend did not and does not have AIDS; most medicines are useful for a number of maladies. We were referred to another Rite Aid when the closest one was shut down. There my friend was told to step aside because the two Asians behind her were waiting. That was the same Rite Aid that had help wanted signs in the window, but I was not allowed an application because "we are not hiring Caucasians". All our business is now at a very friendly CVS.

• "Wrong Aid" ruined the Thrifty-Payless chain with their boneheaded policies. How do you piss off a customer? Tell them that they can't use your restroom; make them wait while you call the supervisor to authorize a void for a pack of Dentyne; tell them that the store's auto-replenishment system requires you to sort their 50 cans of cat food by flavor before you can ring it up. The entire executive management of the company was crooked including the CEO and son of the company's founder, Martin Grass, who was convicted of embezzlement. When I quit the company they tried to cheat me out of unused vacation time and it took me six months to get my money. I had to PROVE to the union that Rite Aid owed me the money and I was only able to do that because I saved my check stubs. Who knows how many people they cheated. Rite Aid is a scummy company that deserves to go out of business. And yeah, twelve years later, I'm still bitter.

• what is the civil suit for? I don't get this. Are they not allowed to do that?
