Well we got our wish: Summer weather finally arrived and you're also already probably tired of it. But this weekend the heat didn't stop us from getting out: We hit up the OC Fair's opening weekend and sampled the best--deep-fried butter, giant corn dogs, deep-fried chocolate-covered bacon and more.

Then we went to see the LA Calendar Motorcycle Show, with tons of rides and calendar gals (but it's too bad the racist T-shirt booth ruined it!). Thrice performed at the Fox Pomona Theater and Lil Wayne and co. stopped by the Giant Orange Festival. More photos and details after the jump.

The 2010 Orange County Fair opened on Friday in Costa Mesa at the OC Fairgrounds! We ate our way through it, rode some rides and pet some farm animals. Check out these photos taken by Christopher Victorio.

On Saturday, motorcycles--tons of them--headed to the Queen Mary in Long Beach for the 2010 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show. The event featured over 200 leading motorcycle and parts manufacturers and, yes, calendar girls were there, too. See the slideshow here (for racist t-shirt stand, see slide number three!).

Thrice played their sold-out homecoming show at the Fox Pomona Theater on Saturday night. Bad Veins, the Dig and Kevin Devine provided support. See all the photos by Andrew Youssef by clicking here. Oh, and hey, by the way: Thrice drummer Riley Breckenridge also pens a weekly column, "3hree Things," for the OC Weekly music blog Heard Mentality. Click here to read the column!

The Giant Orange Festival took on the opening weekend of the OC Fair and lost--with a lackluster turnout, despite the fact that the fest boasted the English Beat, Annabella Lwin and Lil' Jon. The food looked good though? See the photos here.
