In addition to Saddleback Mega-Church leader Rick Warren being temporarily blinded by the insidious sap of the firestick plant, "about $1 million-worth of marijuana were found inside the house along the 21500 block of Montbury Drive," reports the OC Register.
"My eyes were severely burned by a toxic poison.Hospitalized Mon.Excruciating pain. Now home.Pray my sight loss is restored," Warren Tweeted yesterday.
Warren is unlikely to seek the herbal remedy for his "excruciating pain," despite the hundreds of plants found only 2.2 miles away from his 241-side empire.
After receiving an anonymous tip, investigators raided the suburban home Thursday evening. They discovered an intricate irrigation and electrical system utilized to keep the entire operation below the radar.

Legal wrangling between the city of Lake Forest and the small yet feisty marijuana dispensaries Vale Tudu Café and Care Mutual has been rampant throughout recent months. But appellate courts, city hall meetings, laws--who needs them when you've got a $700,000 pot-pad to DIY?
With Frisco in custody and Warren with "protective contacts on [his] corneas as bandages during the healing," (http://twitter.com/rickwarren) it seems that plants have taken their toll on the town.
