Jesse Rodriguez was riding his bicycle in the 200 block of West Hill Avenue, near Malden Avenue, in Fullerton before 10 p.m. Thursday when he was gunned down by someone in a car.

Police do not know if the 17-year-old exchanged words with his unknown killer or killers before the slaying.

Nonetheless, this is being investigated as a gang-related crime, although police have said if Rodriguez belonged to a gang.

By the time officers arrived, he was lying on the ground, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

No one has provided a description of the shooter or shooters, but the vehicle was apparently a dark sedan or newer-model Ford Mustang.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fullerton Police Department at (714) 738-6715 or Det. Jose Arana at (714) 738-3396.
