Who Wants to be a Bamboo for Janet Nguyen?

• I don't like LEE's Sandwiches food. It's not good. The small mom and pop sandwhich shops are so tasty while Lee's sandwiches are so bland.

• This is sad. I guess were it a candidate of Middle Eastern heritage, the same folks might conjure up levels that involve camels, harems, and pyramids. Give them someone of Mexican heritage, they would offer sombreros and burritos. What's so bizarre is that the candidate went along with it all. One ponders if she calls her friends, "my bamboos."

• To Anonymous: Don't you know, Most Viet businesses are CASH ONLY, It is a definite accounting advantage for them, only they really know how much they take in. If you accept checks and Credit Cards there is a paper trail to show how much a profit they make.

• Did anyone in Chairman Janet's cabal do any research or proof reading before sending this out? It should be Joyce not "Joy" Allen. The least Janet could do for somebody opening up their house to raise money for her is get the name right.

• Is that Janet Nguyen the NEW Van Tran youre talking about Gus? Hmmm Chris prevat and Dan C may take issue with you over this. Better watch out.

• WOW! Uber-racist Gustavo "Viva La Raza" Arellano actually wrote an article that didn't attack wealthy white Republicans or the Catholic Church. Of course, he did get his slam in an Asians. Such cutting edge journalism.

• Lee's Sandwiches meal gave me the rums. Plus, they don't accept credit card. They only accept cash only.

• There IS that famous, ancient Chinese torture, where a person is bound, seated above a sharpened bamboo stake while it grows. I hope that's not what she had in mind.

• Thanks for exposing the health codes violation. I stopped going to Lee 's Sandwiches after getting food poisoning twice last year. It's a shame that in this day and age, they still can't measure up.

• I hope she isn't providing food from her husband's Lee's Sandwiches. They have had over 50 OC Health Dept violations. It should be noted that Janet was the key vote against letter grade health ratings for restaurants. She did not tell the Board os Supervisor's about her husband's restaurant, or that her then Chief of Staff, Andrew Do, is a partner at that restaurant. Nor did Janet admit to taking over $20K from other restaurants with major health violations. Go to her fundraiser if you must - but don't eat the food!
