Chivas USA Takes on OC Blue Star in a Friendly Match Tomorrow

The Chivas Girls will be there, and so should you.
​​If you're a soccer junkie and the World Cup just isn't enough for you (the awful number of draws probably isn't helping), then wake up early tomorrow and get your ass over to the Home Depot Center in Carson for the 11 a.m. kickoff of the friendly match between Chivas USA and the Orange County Blue Star, SoCal's hottest Premier Development League team this season.

The Blue Star features top local talent like Amani Walker, a San Diego native and star forward for the UC Irvine Anteaters. Earlier this month, Walker scored a hat trick playing in the Blue Star's match against the Fresno Fuego, helping his team to a dramatic 4-3 victory.

Not much needs to be said about Chivas USA, one of SoCal's most popular and successful MLS teams. Stars such as 2009 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Zach Thornton and Mariano Trujilo will be there, but OC native Jonathan Bornstein will not.

He's off playing in South Africa.
