My Weekly colleague and lunch buddy Nick Schou has been on quite the tear recently for his latest book, Orange Sunshine: The Brotherhood of Eternal Love and Its Quest to Spread Peace, Love, and Acid to the World, which deals with Laguna Beach's Hippie Mafia of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Great reviews in the Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chronicle, a packed reading at Washington DC's legendary Politics and Prose this past weekend, and great appearances on the pinnacles of Southern California radio book goodness: KPCC-FM 89.3's AirTalk with Larry Mantle, and KPFK-FM 90.7's Uprising.

This media rush is in anticipation of Nick's book signing this Saturday at 5 p.m. at Laguna Beach's Latitude 33, 311 Ocean Ave., Laguna Beach, (949) 494-5403. But there's one more radio show he has to do, the worst in the Southland: mine.
