Poll: OC Great Park Idea Losing Support

New homes will be the main component of Agran's "Great" park
Despite a local government spending at least $100,000-a-month to win favorable public relations on the unbuilt Orange County Great Park in Irvine, most residents have a negative opinion about the project, according to a VoiceofOC.com poll that was announced last week.

According to Adam Elmahrek at the Voice, 61 percent of those polled shared a negative opinion such as "the park is not making progress," or is "wasteful" or simply is "a bad idea."

Such information coaxed an acidic response from Larry Agran, the pompous master manipulator of Irvine politics and the man who essentially controls Great Park spending after stacking the government entity's board with his hacks.

Said Agran, "Did they think somehow magically we were going to have a 1,347-acre park overnight?"

Overnight?

The project--which, because of Agran's fondness for mischief, is stained with odd secrecy and even odder spending--has been on the drawing board for nearly a decade.
