New Poll: Bill Hunt Erased Gap with Sheriff Sandra Hutchens

• It's time to bring corrupt politics to a screeching halt here in Orange County CA; that's why we voted for Bill Hunt for Sheriff!

• Bill Hunt is the ONLY choice for anyone who cares about the publics right to defend itself. A gun in the hand is preferable to a 911 operator on the phone! I have had a CCW from a different county for 20 years because I own property in a free county that allows it's citizens their rights as given by God and not a politician. The license is valid anywhere within the state with no restrictions on jurisdiction. Citizens must be of good character. Have no serious misdemeanors or felonies of any kind. Be otherwise allowed to own a handgun and pass written tests and live fire qualification. State permits are renewable every two years for approximately $75.00 plus the cost of the classes. A criminal background check, local and federal insures that only good citizens be allowed to carry concealed. God bless Orange County and God bless Bill Hunt !

• Well Dweezle, you can't have it both ways. You can't sling out the old Haidl accusations against Hunt (which were proven false BTW) and then blow off Hutchens shenanigans with her finances. Those were proven BTW. As for the Outsider comment, we have seen how they do things in LA and that has worked out oh so well. Hutchens is use to playing financial chicken with a Board of Supervisors. It's how things are done in LA. When told to cut costs, simply hold your breath and stomp your feet. Scream the sky is falling and eventually the LA Board of Supervisors will give the spoiled child what they want. That tactic does not work in the OC... As for Hunt observing what the MCSO and Arpaio have done to cut costs, Sandy should take a lesson. I have been to the MCSO and seen how tight things are and what they have to do to work within their tight budget and it is impressive. Hutchens has absolutely no innovation in her other than coming up with some crappy internal department commission. Hutchens is excellent at math as we have seen, at least in the federal government's eyes. Hey, lets spend millions of county dollars to build jail facilities here in OC then keep them empty by just issuing criminals tickets in the field rather then putting them in jail. Then we can rent the beds to the federal government for pennies on the dollar, sure makes sense to me... Then lets discuss Hutchens refusal to bill back an inmate's health insurance plan for medical treatment just like many other counties do. Sandy says, oh well there wasn't much money there. Personally I think every dollar counts but I guess when it isn't your money who cares. I guess this is the norm for her fiscal theories. (lookup her apartment rent collection scam) Let's discuss her continued policy of issuing take home vehicles to non first responders who really don't need them. I guess it would be cruel and unusual to make some assistant chief drive his kids to soccer practice in his personal vehicle and make him pay for it. How about a 90% referral rate to the Public Defender? This collusion with the PD has pushed their budget into the stratosphere. Instead of screening the inmates firs or sitting on them for a few days which would result in them hiring private attorneys, Sandy allows them to go straight to the PD and then we in the county get to pay for their defense. Wow, seems like more great fiscal moves on Sandy's part... Sure glad she is looking out for us... What about her blatant and now stated disdain for the second amendment? (unless you are a cop or a judge) She crows that she has approved 90% of all CCW applications, well if you have your cronies filter out everything before it reaches your desk I guess you can claim that number. Then to add insult to injury you pretty much make it worthless by placing huge and unreasonable restrictions on their use. Hutchens is a big fat mistake that the Board of supervisors has stuck us with and god willing we will be rid of her in either June or November.....

• Well the Red County Link for details on the Poll does not work. Hutchins finances years ago have no bearing on her ability to perform, and everyone already has heard of the Haidl involvement. I like that Hutchins is an "Outsider" coming all the way from LA county. but she has not relied on a crook from out of state to show as a supporter and role model... Guess who gets my vote?
