--Susan Kang Schroeder, Orange County District Attorney's office public affairs counsel, on the late Friday afternoon press announcement that her new title is now chief of staff for DA Tony Rackauckas. According to Schroeder, the title change "is revenue neutral and better reflects my actual role in the office." She says there is no change in duties or pay. Inquiring minds want to know: Is this the first step in a Schroeder for DA campaign if Rackauckas retires in four years?
