Dana Point Safe Harbor Collective looks safe from here.
Sheriff's deputies served search warrants at a Dana Point medical marijuana dispensary and four homes in San Clemente associated with the business.

The Orange County Register's Vik Jolly has the scoop.

He reports that the warrant was served late Friday at Dana Point Safe Harbor Collective at 34102 Violet Lantern by Orange County Sheriff's deputies.

Brass provided no specifics on what was taken from the dispensary and the homes, saying only that alleged violations of California health and safety codes led to the action.

Safe Harbor is among six medical marijuana dispensaries Dana Point sued last month in Orange County Superior Court, claiming the businesses are not permitted under the city's municipal code.

The city previously subpoenaed five cannabis collectives, seeking to get them to turn over their records, including client names and financial data.

The dispensaries refused, setting up a legal battle that is now before the California Supreme Court.
