Racist OC Register Fustercluck of the Day

• EVERYONE, all races, has the potential to be violent, criminals, etc. Point is that wherever you are in the country the majority race will be the most violent because there are more of that particular race. Go to the south and black people are majority in criminals, SoCal its Latinos, Florida its white and so on & so forth. So this whole thing is just a vicous cycle perpetuated by everyone. And also, FYI, we are all racist (even in the littlest bit) for pointing out flaws in other races. *As a funny side point: According to the latest Census, I am considered white because being Hispanic or of Hispanic origin is not a race! So there!

• Nick, I understand the theme of the Fustercluck articles and the rivalry with the OC Register, yada yada yada, but what exactly is newsworthy about these stories? You could go on any website that has a comments section to its stories, ESPN, Yahoo, LA Times, OC Register, even OC Weekly and find a sample of comments that are similar to the comments to the Register article. You will find racist comments and any number of other comments that are just plain juvenile, sad and ignorant for one reason or another. It just seems like a non-event to point out these random comments on a daily basis. Also, in your response above you write: "hearing these white people who spend all their spare time bashing Latinos and Mexicans whine and cry when I refer to their comments as racist. If you guys are so sensitive, why don't you take a more sophisticated approach to the issues at hand instead of being so predictable, obtuse and plain ignorant. If you can't do that, then buck up, dry your crying eyes, and shut up, please." You must realize that the people who commented on the Register article are not the same ones who are commenting on your post. At the end of the day, the Fustercluck is more like OC Weekly's version of Seinfeld, a story about nothing.

• Personally, I get sick of all of the "you're a racist" talk. If they are, who cares? Last time I looked, being a racist wasn't against the law. Of course, if you discriminate in hiring, housing and a hundred other things based on race, that's when it starts to get sticky. If someone wants to portray others as different or worse than they are, let them. I don't have the time for it. If they think that they are the "#2 Chosen People", ranking after the Jews, because they happen to have blond hair and blue eyes, it doesn't affect my life one iota. No one anointed any particular race as being THE race, so get off of your high horses and look in the mirror before you bash others. In most cases, many of you bash others based on race because it's your excuse for your lack of success in life...and please, don't go posting that you make $200K and drive a Beemer. No one cares about your place in Fantasyland.

• Anyone who protests illegals and their criminal ways are always considered racist! The police and politicians are so far up the butts of the illegals and advocates they can't even worry about Americans anymore. Illegals get away with breaking multiple laws every day and no one gives a crap. Personally I am sick of it. I will only vote for those who wish to protect Americans and enforce our immigration laws to deport every last illegal. If illegals don't have to obey the law, why should Americans? Can't people see what they have done to CA???

• I was born & raised in Santa Ana. A race doesn't commit crie in it's city, it's the people who love in it. Doesn't matter what race u are. There are good & bad people in all races, not just hispanics. There are a lot of white, black, & asian people that commit crimes here in Santa Ana too. Santa Ana is a beautiful multi-cultural city. Each city has it's good & it's bad.

• I think the problem really stems from an economic root. If Santa Ana citizens held the majority of the wealth in the county the shoe would be on the other foot.

• Jason, I get what you're saying, but there is a difference between the Reggie White debacle and the comments posted above. What Reggie did was attempt to portray the negative stereotypes against ethnicities in a positive light. Did it work? No. Did he sound like an idiot? Yes. But there was no malice behind the statements. The same cannot be said for the previous comments. I'm not letting Reggie off the hook that easy, though, because he said some pretty idiotic things about homosexuality, too. Mark from Torrance, that's too bad, because I was really hoping I got the chance to cut you open and bathe in your entrails. CA is way off base, are you daft? Have you ever been to Anaheim? What about Huntington Beach? There are scores of those horrid white supremacists all over the place. Maybe you don't see them too often because most of them are holed up in motel rooms smoking meth all day long, but that doesn't change the fact that they are there. Listen, I'm white and I've lived in Santa Ana my entire life. Twenty-seven years to this point. I went to public schools throughout my youth, and I now live in downtown Santa Ana, right by the train station. I can tell you, first hand, that there is no better city in this county, possibly even in the entire Southern California region. People have a negative perception of Santa Ana because of the negative press it gets, but I've never had an issue with anybody or anything in this city. It has culture, which is something that you'd be hard pressed to find in any other portion of this vanilla-laden, right-wing, hellhole of a county. I love Santa Ana, and I, for one, will not stand idly by while ignorant people with no business in this city disparage it.

• Solution, focus on solution! How about let's legalize weed, and let more people out jail?

Parts of SanTana ain't exactly nice, but it's a veritable Coto compared to, say, South Central or other areas. Oh, and the myth that SanTana once was nice? To be debunked soon!

• In addition you're either an American or a Mexican, based on your post i'm sure you have a decal of the Mexican flag on your car. White Supremacists are far and inbetween, you would be hard pressed to find any in CA. Fact of the matter is Hispanics have totally brought our school system to it's knees, it's no wonder why CA schools have the lowest rating in the nation, both from an educational and physical standpoint. Living 15 families to a house and parking 12 cars around neighborhoods is another eye sore. How about not having 8 to 10 kids per familia?

• Anonymous, I see what you�re saying but to me for it needs to be extremely clear before I accuse someone of something like racism. To me a Reggie White for example is not a racist simply because he said some stupid things about stereotypes. He might be racist but I think his comments came from ignorance. I also don't think generalizing is racist either.

• As an educated Mexican American, I cannot live in many areas of San Bernadino, the Inland Empire (Temecula), parts of San Diego, Northern California boondocks, Riverside, and most of the DESERT areas of California, certain areas of Buena Park (white supremacist Gang Public Enemy 1) and so on, where I refuse to live by "DOMESTIC TERRORIST WHITE SUPREMACISTS" WHO BREAK THE LAW BY BEING ADDICTED METH USERS. White supremacists/nationalists/separatists are a clear and present danger to the U.S., our people, and the values that all good Americans stand for. They have made this country into a target of hate, they have committed terroristic acts of violence against the American people these recent months (see current news). Homeland Security needs to take a look at itself and start rounding up these supremacists gangs and send them to Guantanamo Bay with all the other terrorists, where they belong. Enough of the home-grown terrorism and violent acts by white supremacists terrorists!!!

• Sounds to me like we have some "gangsta" (or perhaps wanta be's) on this comment board. The town of Salinas has grown to over 60% hispanic and the crime rate has skyrocketed! Amnesty will not solve anything. All it will do is make all the illegal sneak-ins legal! The remedy for this huge blight on our country is for Mexico to do some real serious house cleaning starting at the very top. Mexico is very rich in all natural resource. There is no reason why that beautiful country could not be a shining jewel in this part of the world!

• I disagree. Racism is a specific thing with a definition. You need to intend for it to be racist in order for it to be racist. Comparing one city to another similar city does not equal racism.

• When somebody says that Santa Ana is a toilet because it's turning into Northern Tijuana, that's thinly veiled racism. You don't have to go out and commit a hate crime to be a racist.

• Well anonymous, "wait for us to come out there for you. Because we will" sounds like a threat to me otherwise I don't know what it means. I have no idea what "Real Murika" is. Nothing I wrote was in the least bit prejudice, or maybe I should apologize for wanting Mexico to become a better country. • I don't know where in Santa Ana *you* live but I live in Santa Ana as well and some parts are not like others. Are there a LOT of Latinos? Yes, can't deny that. But the *entire* city is not a "turd sandwich". Maybe you just need to get your little princess a** out of there. Just a thought.

• I have lived in CA all my life and really can't argue with the posters comments. Political correctness has gotten out of hand in our society. It is was it is, and as the hispanic population spirals out of control, things have gotten increasing worse in north Orange County. That's a fact.
