Jose Asencion Castro has a poetic sense of justice. Or he really hates tires.

The 37-year-old Anaheim man was charged with arson today. If convicted, he could spend up to eight years in prison.

It all started in back in January, when Castro's boss gave him the ax after 14 years of work at an electronics store. According to the OC District Attorney's office, Castro asked his boss to hire a man that Castro recommended, but the boss refused. Castro is accused of taking a knife to his boss's tires in retaliation, which led the boss to cut Castro as his employee.

According to prosecutors, a very angry Castro then went after his ex-boss's tires a second time.

Castro is accused of driving to his ex-boss's house at 10 a.m. on March 10, where he found his ex-boss's boat parked on a trailer in the driveway. Prosecutors say Castro slashed the tires on the trailer, doused them in gasoline, and set the whole rig on fire before fleeing the scene in his car.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for March 23, Castro is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail, and our tires are safe . . . for now.
