| All in the name of comics. |
What'd you miss this weekend? For us it was a busy couple of days, despite the rain that tried to ruin it for us. First up, the
Second Annual Long Beach Comic Expo took place Saturday at the
Long Beach Convention Center. There were kids in costumes, grown men and women in costumes, geeks, comics and uh, this kid. For more info, check out our
Q&A with Long Beach Comic Con organizer and InPrint Media president Phil Lawrence. For our wrap-up of the day's events, click

| The Damned still at it. |
MusInk Tattoo and Music Festival took place from Friday through Sunday at the
Orange County Fairgrounds in
Costa Mesa and it celebrated--yep--music and tattoos. Everyone from
the Damned, Mike Vallely and
the Buzzcocks to
the Cult performed. Click
here for photos from day one, here for
day two and here for day three!

For the first time in the United States,
HempCon, a three day for the celebration and education of medicinal marijuana took place at the
Los Angeles Convention Center on 2/19-2/21. Hundreds of vendors from all over the country hawked everything from growing techniques to water pipes and vaporizors for the medicinal use (yep!). Guest speakers included representatives from NORML and other industry icons. However HempCon was nearly in trouble on the first day as Bong TV Live lit up Friday evening much to the dismay of the promoters. They were removed from the program for the remainder of the weekend.
