Editor's Note: The use of the term migrant is interesting. Old timers might remember that's what the lawmen and railroad cops used to call midwestern jobseekers who tried to sneak into California during the Great Depression. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these Register readers who like to whine about "illegal aliens" are themselves the offspring of Okie anchor babies.
