Buffett also earmarked $31 billion for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Only the richest men of all time can donate billions. I am guessing you got your welfare statistics from the John Birch weekly or Rush Limbaugh. Johnson did a lot for the less fortunate in our society, I remember I was actually alive with open eyes then. I also remember that he seems to be most remembered for escalating the Vietnam War, Remember that one? "We must stop Communist Aggression, if Vietnam falls all of Asia will fall to communism" (Hmm Vietnam Fell, and is one of the few remaining Communist Governments left in the world and we use them for their cheap labor.

• It seems the Liberaloons have to resort to "right winger" name calling and pointing the finger at conservatives whenever someone calls them out for who they are. First off Reagan didn't start the deregulation. The deregulation started with Carter and his CRA community reinvestment act of 1977. Most people fail to know Reagan was a democrat up until the 70's. Do you not remember Reagan's words " I didn't leave the democrat Party, The democrat party left me". After Trueman creating socialism with his medicare and starting a bill to be finished off by another socialist Lyndon B. Johnson to creat Welfare. Creating a tax and spend on the American people. To this day almost 30% of the Democrats in public office are veterans of the early 30's to late 30's socialist party that crossed over to the democrat party by hijacking it and forcing people to accept England's high taxation and hyper inflation. Don't compare neocons to conservatives they are not the same. Just like not all democrats are Liberal. It seems the ones here like Dweezle and Melissa want to point the finger and think the Democrats have a better answer then the conservatives. They way I see it 33% of the people on welfare are residing in California. Over 78% of the California welfare recipients are NOT WHITE for your information. Don't blame the banks because people who borrowed money can't read a contract and knew they were not financially qualified to borrow money in the first place.

• Religion IS Politics, from the beginning of time. Religion has always been used as a tool for men to control other men using fear and guilt... There is a reason the founding fathers created a separation of church and state. Reagan's message to Congress on May 17, 1982 S5334 starts with: "I have attached for your consideration a proposed constitutional amendment to restore the simple freedom of our citizens to offer prayer in our public schools and institutions. The public expression through prayer of our faith in God is a fundamental part of our American heritage and a privilege which should not be excluded by law from any American school, public or private." This was the first right wing step to bring religion into government.

• A couple of minor corrections: Ian Mitchell was never the lead guitarist of the Bay City Rollers: Eric Faulkner was. Ian Mitchell played rhythm guitar. He was with the BCR for 6 months not a year. That said, Way to go Ian! Ian has been fully exercising his American freedoms ever since he became a citizen and what a wonderful way to show his patriotism! Ian Mitchell is one of MY Heroes along with Ronald Reagan (yes, I know how to spell Reagan). I am hoping he would have played at MY Tea Party but I got Chuck Norris instead. Who Dat!
