OC Candidate For Attorney General "Urgently" Seeks Campaign Cash
| Tom Harman |
Chris Rizo of LegalNewsLine.com reports that Harman, long known as a relative moderate in Orange County political circles, is hoping to fuel his effort by casting himself as the lone conservative candidate to block the "left-wing extremist" Democrats will nominate to replace outgoing Jerry Brown. Brown is attempting to return to the governor's mansion in Sacramento after a 30-year absence.
Rizo, who interviewed Harman, says that the Republican is hoping to raise $50,000--a pittance, really, for a statewide race--during the next 30 days.
Harman contends that Brown used the AG job as a political tool for such lefty issues as suing cities for violating environmental standards rather than fighting corruption.
