Dishney: BREAKING--Roy E. Disney Dead at Age 79

​Roy Edward Disney has died at the age of 79.

Roy E. Disney was the nephew of Walt Disney and a longtime executive for the Walt Disney Company, which was founded by both Walt Disney and Roy E. Disney's father, Roy Oliver Disney.

Many remember Roy E. Disney for his role in toppling two Disney execs, Ron Miller (1984) and Michael Eisner (2005).

Though rumors of Roy E. Disney's declining health had been swirling since early 2009, further details of his death have not yet been released.

Edit, 12:30 p.m.: The Los Angeles Times is reporting Roy E. Disney had been battling stomach cancer and passed away at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach.
