Steve Aoki's birthday bash... Steve Aoki, not pictured
Ah, yes: Collective Monday morning sadface, Orange County. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves this four day weekend and we kept ourselves really, really, really busy. And we've got the photos to prove it.

First, we checked out Steve Aoki's Birthday Bash at Code in Newport Beach, where the birthday boy not only celebrated but also treated the crowd to a DJ set. And he also crowd surfed. And drenched club-goers in champagne. Just a typical night for Aoki, obviously. See the photos here.

After the jump: Long Beach Turkey Trot, a beachside guitar circle (seriously!), Thunderbox at Detroit Bar, Cafe Tacvba invading the Fox Pomona and Strokes dreamboat Julian Casablancas.

Oh, Jules
On 11/27, Julian Casablancas, who spends most of his time fronting the Strokes, played the last night of his month-long residency at the Downtown Theater in Los Angeles. The Strange Boys and Haim opened. See all the photos by Andrew Youssef.

Cafe Tacvba brings the Fox Pomona to its max capacity
Cafe Tacvba (or Cafe Tacuba) finished their California tour Friday night, 11/27, in Pomona at the Fox Theater. The Mexican band roared into Southern California, selling out nearly every show along the way. Fronted by Ruben Albarran, Cafe Tacvba played almost two hours worth of music for the capacity crowd. Thunderbox brought guest DJ Mark E. Quark and residents Poppa, Scotty Coats, DJ Pubes, Dirty Lo?, Wes the Mes and more to the Detroit Bar on 11/28. Click here for the rest of the photos!

Dave Dixon hosted his first attempt at his guitar circle at the foot of the Balboa Pier on 11/29. The idea? Bring instruments, play, jam, have a good time in a beautiful setting. See the equally beautiful photos by Keith May here.

Don't look now, but I think there's a turkey on your head...
And then?? And then over 5000 participants came out Thanksgiving Morning for the Seventh Annual Long Beach Turkey Trot in Long Beach. Runners, walkers, and bikers of all ages joined in the 5k/10k or the 1/2 mile kid races. The Turkey Trot helps fund the Community Action Team with various events throughout the year including the Haute Dawg Bulldog Pagent, the Miss Long Beach Pagaent and the Chalkwalk Art Contest. We told you: It was a long, long weekend. But look at it this way: Only 25 more days until Christmas break?
