| Hometown heroes |
It was the weekend: The weekend No Doubt, on their sold-out reunion tour, came back to town to play an anticipated four nights at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine. While most of the band has since relocated north to Long Beach (and Los Angeles, but let's not speak of that) since meeting mega, worldwide success, we still think No Doubt's a big contender for, well, the biggest band to ever come out of Orange County. Aw. Check out the amazing photos from photographer Andrew Youssef right over here.
So, what else did you miss? A joker, a smoker, a couple of midnight tokers--you know, guys who get their lovin' on the run? (Oooooooo-oooh.)

Ah, yes: The Steve Miller Band. So may hits, so little time. The classic rock band that formed in 1967 San Francisco graced the Pacific Amphitheater and Orange County Fair with their presence on Saturday. The young and the old got up and danced from the very start, from that first note of "Swingtown." See the photos here.

And finally, a super awesome treat from photog Keith May:
A visual tour of the people and landmarks of
Seal Beach, along with an extensive look at
Seal Beach Music. The store is a dying breed--the last of its kind around here, at least. A music store that's
not Sam Ash,
Best Buy, or, worse,
Guitar Center (seriously, when's the last time you walked into a Guitar Center and
didn't run into crowds of 14 and 40 year olds jamming at 11?)?
