Watch and learn
It may have been 5,000-degrees out, but the weekend's events raged on regardless. From reminiscing with one of our favorite boy bands ever (what,
you don't have one?) to watching a labrador retriever go down the line with more ease and comfort than any surf pro, we could barely decide on how to split our time over the weekend.
On 7/11, the
First Annual Surfin' Paws Surf Dog Competition took place at
Huntington Beach's Dog Beach. Oh, it's as cute as it sounds. Follow photographer Keith May as he discovered the First Annual Surfin' Paw Dog Jam
. The event benefitted the OCSPCA (www.orangecountyspca.org) and a red carpet event was held later at the Waterfront Hilton. For more photos from the best event in the world (like, EVER), click
here.
Next up, photog Robert Fayette caught up with Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Jordan Knight and Jonathan Knight--you know, the New Kids on the Block?

Yep:
NKOTB are bringing back the matching outfits thing--remember Boyz II Men's matching white tennis sweaters and plaid patchwork shorts? The only thing: Though McIntyre looks as great as ever, we took one look at Wahlberg and are left wondering if they're all a little too old to be in the club. Eh. Want more? Click
here for the slideshow.

"Made You Look": Attractive people only. Thanks.
Next up, photographer Chris Victorio (who was very, very, very busy this weekend) checked things out at "
Made You Look" at the
Detroit Bar in
Costa Mesa, photographing all you crazy kids dancing up a storm to the likes of DJs Mr. White, James Monrose, No Msg and Colossal KNXX. Suhweeeeeeeet. Slideshow
right here!

Moons away!
On Saturday, the
30th Annual Amtrak Mooning was a bittersweet one--it apparently might also be the last (organized) mooning ever at the
Mugs Away Saloon in
Laguna Niguel thanks to financial issues. Though previous events have attracted thousands and thousands of bare asses (and other things. If you know what we mean), Saturday's event garnered less than 200 participants. Aw. See even more photos (slightly NSFW, obviously) right
here.

Movin' on up
And finally: It was the opening weekend of the
OC Fair and the
2009 Maloof Money Cup kicked things off in a big way. The three-day event boasts the largest cash prize of any professional skateboarding competition with over $450,000 in prize money.
Check out photos from the weekend and keep an eye out for some special cameos from
Kobe Bryant and
Snoop Dogg.
