Dishney: D23 Expo

Don't lie. We see you every night, poring over your Disney pin collection, yearning for that ultra-rare Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom Inaugural Cast 1998 pin. You hang out at the Pin Traders area in the parks, you chase down people wearing the pin you've been searching for on their lanyards. You own an Annual Pass--and your kids don't. 

It's okay. There's now a special event for people--Disney people--like you. For four days in September, the D23 Expo will invade the Anaheim Convention Center for the largest gathering of Disney-everything in a single place. Every part of the Walt Disney Company will be represented: Studios, parks and resorts, consumer products, Imagineering, ABC, the Disney Channel and ESPN. D23 promises "gallery events, author and artist appearances, signings and even a beautiful Disney Dream Home to walk through." Expect appearances from Disney President and CEO Bob Iger and Pixar head honcho and all around awesome dude John Lasseter, who will be offering sneak peeks at what's to come in the world of Disney animation. And for the first time, the Disney Legends Ceremony, where they induct "luminaries in the fields of music, animation, acting, art, performance, engineering and business that dare to imagine and possess the skill and persistence to create those new dreams and worlds" will be open to the public. 

But, without a doubt, the most anticipated features of the event will be the Disney Dream Store with exclusive Expo merch and the Collectors' Forum, where attendees can buy, sell and trade Disney collectibles. 

It's okay. Everyone there will be just. Like. You. Don't hold back.
