La Voz de Aztlán Not Just Anti-Semitic, but Also Anti-Facts
HAHAHAHA. Compare that statement to a screed published last week about that New York Post editorial cartoon involving the crazy chimp and the Obama stimulus package. First off, the unsigned piece refers to Post owner Rupert Murdoch as an "Australian Jew" for no good reason... except Murdoch is a Christian. Carreon then calls for the Secret Service to investigate the Post, like they did in 2003 when UC Irvine graduate and Coto de Caza resident Michael Ramirez (pictured) drew an editorial cartoon involving Dubya getting shot in the head ala the famous Eddie Adams Vietnam War picture. "The cartoonist, Michael Ramirez, because of the cartoon and another one that the Jews called antisemitic, was terminated and had his career destroyed," Carreon asserted.
"The Jews"? What Jews, Hector? And, again: What do Jews have to do with whatever point you have to make? Even more hilarious is Carreon's assertion that Ramirez's career was "destroyed" by the Jews. It was so "destroyed" that Ramirez won the Pulitzer Prize last year for his cartoon published by Investors Business Daily and the John Fischetti Editorial Cartoon Competition. The Jews so "destroyed" Ramirez's career that his syndicate never quite got around to dropping him, nor the hundreds of papers that continue to publish his work.
Ramirez did not respond to my request for comment, but that's fine. It doesn't remove the fact that Carreon is a raving, hate-mongering, loco loser, and anyone who reads his website is delusional, anti-Semitic, or both. And the answer is? Both!
