Quick Thoughts on Rick Warren's Invocation for Obama's Inauguration

Purpose-Driven® Rick seemed either tired or unenthused when giving his invocation this morning. The man also seemed a bit apologetic--maybe he's finally growing a soul and is repentant for his rhetoric of the past couple of months (maybe he read my Los Angeles Times op/ed piece from yesterday?). And, while I understand Warren is an evangelical and thus must proclaim to all the glories of Christ (as opposed to just God), did anyone else find it ingratiating when he referred to Jesus as HIS personal savior, or something to that effect? Whatever--at least he didn't suck as much as the poet.
