--Ex-Assistant Sheriff Don Haild testifying today in the federal corruption trial of indicted Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona, who allegedly ordered silence about the department giving badges, guns, concealed weapon permits and police powers to unqualified individuals (like his favorite restaurant owner) who'd given campaign contributions.
