• Work, what work? But in all seriousness, that's awesome that you took the time to try and donate! Even if it didn't work because of a faulty website, it's the thought that counts. Nice.

• sure thing rachel, and i realized that as soon as i posted my comments (which i stand by, really..it's emblematic). so what i did was go to the food bank web site and click the donate via paypal button. lo and behold.. it no worky. so then i found the contact information, which may or may not have worked, and sent an email to let folks there know. bottom line: me feeling good about myself: on hold. i really should get back to work.

• The food/microbrew festival is for a good cause though! So, that should be the major push to go (the whole giving back to the community/feel good about yourself thing). It benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, which "works to eliminate hunger in Orange County."

• thanks for the "to do" posts, as far as i know there's nothing else like this in the county (at least as far as things that i might actually want to do). i gave some thought to attending the "23RD ANNUAL FOOD, WINE & MICRO BREW FESTIVAL" but shall not. only here in culturally dead orange county does a "micro brew festival" include Becks and Stella. not to mention that fine food from TGI Friday's sigh
