D'oh!

simpsonsplayset.jpgWhile 7-Eleven stores around the nation are temporarily transforming themselves into Kwik-E-Marts to promote The Simpsons Movie, a report in The OC Register suggests the San Onofre nuclear-power plant may have made a few mistakes that resemble the goings-on in Mr. Burns' facility.

Among other things, workers at the plant are described as having added twice the amount of water they should have to the core in an attempt to increase power, improperly labeled a container of radioactive waste that ended up in a trash can, and allowed debris to collect in water-storage-tank enclosures. There was also a liquid-waste leak back in September when a truck from Utah was improperly sealed.

Keep an eye out for three-eyed fish. They might even taste better than those radioactively pink donuts at the Kwik-E-Mart.
