Laguna Beach Cops Justified in Resort Killings?

For someone who's 'covered crime' for 2 decades to ask such a lame question, were by the answer can be found in any slapnuts private dick film of the late 80's earlie 90's. • A cop stops at a woman's house and knocks on the door. He says lady your dog is in heat. She says no sir officer, she is under the shade tree and is cool. He says, lady your dog needs to bred. She says to him no sir officer I just fed her 10 minutes ago. The cop gets upset and he says Damn it Lady your dog needs to be screwed... She says, why go ahead officer. I have always wanted a police dog.

• Didn't an onduty Orange County police officer ejaculate on a woman, blame her and get away with it this year? Sickening.

• Everyone knows you can't trust the DA's office. Their investigators are cops. Cops cover up for cops. My uncle was a LAPD cop for three decades and he says at least a fourth of the force regularly lied or looked the other way when another cop screwed up.

• Be nice. You know the Laguna Beach cops can't use their real names for the same reason that they can't tell the truth until after they determine what version of it fits their needs.

• Cops should be allowed to post comments without using their names because they need outlets to express the anger they feel inside.

It seems they had nothing to hide.*** You're so prejudiced against the police that you automatically assume that a failure to immediately provide the press with every little piece of information is a conspiracy to hide a bad shooting. Stonewall? How about trying limit what sort of information is published before you have a chance to interview witnesses, some of whom were at the scene, and some of whom were not but have relevant information? The subsequent media frenzy based upon leaked information fuels all sorts of wild speculations and rumor, which tends to influence witness interviews which take place after publication or broadcast. In a perfect world, no off-site witnesses would have even learned of the deaths until after they had been interviewed, but that's obviously not a realistic solution. Nonetheless, most investigators want to ged it right, and want the clear and unbias truth regardless of whether it pains the department in a good light or bad. It's stories such as this one, as well as the others based upon leaked information, that make investigations like this so difficult. I don't suppose that you even considered the undue emotional trauma that the sensationalized stories and hints of coverups by the police have cause the innocent children of the Parks as well as the innocent officers involved in the incident. Why did you take down the original article in which you cast aspersion upon the entire incident, strongly implying that Laguna Beach Police Department was guilty of some unmentioned crime? Come on, show your true colors, Moxley---you got it totally wrong, and now you've removed the old article without even acknowledging it in your new article. That's far more telling about your point of view than this subsequent piece, in which you still manage to negatively paint the police with your "stonewall" comment, even while admitting that it appears there's nothing to hide. Of course, we'll all expect you to bring out the slings and arrows when the District Attorney's final report is released a few months from now, picking it apart with implied conspiracy theories for every little item that doesn't fit with your own perception of what "really" occurred.

• You have no right question cops because they work for you and they know best. They are trained and don't make mistakes. You weren't there at the hotel to know why those people wanted to be shot so many times. So shut up and appreciate the five officers.

• I'm surprised that five cops were looking into a hotel window to see a nude woman. It's so unlike them. Really.

• The second unfolding mystery had been: Who were the two celebrities staying at the Montage during the shooting? Sources say David Sedaris and Tom Selleck. David Sedaris and Tom Selleck - would that be as in together - one bed - Gay - the Wild thing even... Whew! - Hot!

• Donut skulls aren't smart enough to set a trap unless they get to play with their radar guns.

• It was a trap set by the Laguna Beach police to catch kneejerking journalists.
