• The analogy comparing illegal immigrants to burglars breaking into somebody's home, denies the fact that illegal immigrants are allowed in by our government and eagerly sought after by employers. Are they breaking and entering when the government recruits them to fight in Iraq? Or when they helped rebuild the Pentagon? Or when they harvest our food? How about when they deposit their hard earned money in US banks? Yeah, nobody complains then. The people most likely to employ illegal immigrants are middle class homeowners. Yes, the middle class. Many middle class, two-parent families rely on illegal immigrants to take care of their children while they are at work. The immigrants are already here and already working, and have made themselves valuable to our society. The government has already said that deporting millions of people is not only unrealistic, but economically undesirable,so why drag this issue on and on? There is no reason not to legalize them. Working should not be a crime.

A farm animal? While wearing a Klan outfit? With a Nazi tattoo on his ass cheek? He'd probably feel like he had what attorneys like to call an actionable case against us. So, out of deference to the guy with the sign (who is entirely recognizable) and hoping to keep Arturo out of court, I'd kill the photo. Arturo COULD pixilate the protester's face. If he's unidentifiable, there's nothing actionable. -WS

• Arturo, nobody censored you-- you've never written anything that would make anyone to go to any special effort-- but if you just submit a comment consisting of links, the spam filter will weed it out. I can't see how what the filter snagged adds to much of anything, but if you feel it's a pearl of a great wisdom to be put before the world, I'll fish it out for you.
