Refused, Arctic Monkeys, tUnE-yArDs, Explosions in the Sky All Playing Glass House Secret Shows in April

On leap year day (Feb. 29),  the Glass House announced via Facebook that they were hosting six secret shows, with most onsales set for March 9 and 16. Well, now we know what they are! Here's the list of not-secret-anymore shows: 
April 11 Arctic Monkeys (on sale Mar. 16)
April 12 Refused and Death Grips (no on sale date announced to avoid scalpers)
April 16 The Hives, The Rapture and Housse de Racket (on sale Mar. 9)
April 17 A$ap Rocky  (on sale Mar. 16)
April 18 Explosions in the Sky with We Were Promised Jetpacks (on sale Mar. 16)
April 19 tUnE-yArDs, St. Vincent, Keep Shelly in Athens (on sale Mar. 9)

[UPDATE: Ticket Info!] "Secret" Morrissey Show Wednesday at the Music Box

ORIGINAL POST, NOV. 20, 2011, 1:21 A.M.: While checking out the Pixies tonight in LA, we heard whisperings of an unannounced Morrissey show next week. . . the fact that he's canceled his Jimmy Kimmel Show appearance only added fuel to the fire.

And now, according to some posts on, Morrissey has indeed added a new show to his stint next week in Southern California: Wednesday, November 23 at the Music Box in Los Angeles.

I'm not gonna lie: I (shamelessly) tried every route possible to get into last night's ultra intimate, ultra special Green Day show at the Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa. I emailed friends, friends of friends, that gal who once dated that one guy, this manager, that publicist. It was a dead end all around (and lots of "even ____ can't get in!"s).

And then my cousin called: She was 1 of 250 lucky fans who'd managed to secure tickets when they went on sale earlier that afternoon at 1 p.m.--and she had an extra ticket.

UPDATE, 10:14 A.M., AUGUST 10, 2011: We hear that Green Day will be playing Thursday (that's tomorrow, by the way--are you in line yet?) without their backing band--and to expect a set list rife with "old stuff."

Linkin Park to Play Secret Show in LA for Tsunami Relief

Foreign tragedies have a way of hitting close to home when you're world famous and have embarked on several world tours. For Southern California's Linkin Park, the March earthquake and tsunami in Japan affected them on a personal level. "We have family ties to Japan," Chester Bennington, vocalist, said. "When you play somewhere so many times you start to feel at home. When something at home happens, it's like it happens to you."

​Yesterday, I watched the Adicts practice one of their best known songs, "Joker in the Pack," on the small stage at the Slidebar in Fullerton. It was in anticipation of that evening's secret show (they played under the name "The Clockwork Boys" to keep it a secret), and one oddity stood out: The band's usual bassist, Shahen, was nowhere to be found.

The Adicts Playing Secret Show Tonight in Fullerton

We can't tell you exactly where, but if you do some investigating, we're sure you can figure out exactly where the venerable '80s punk band from England is playing tonight in Fullerton.

They're playing under a different name, and the ads for tonight's show don't have their photos, but this secret show will be a trial run for their set at the House of Blues in Anaheim tomorrow night--find them if you can!
