Top Five Most Outrageous 2 Chainz Lines

2chainzkanyebirthdaysong.jpg

The appeal of 2 Chainz -- aka 36 year-old Tauheed Epps -- stems from many things. To begin with, his ear for beats is incredible, and he always seems to bring out the  best in producers like Mike Will Made It and Lex Luger. The persona he's manifested through mixtapes such as T.R.U. Realigion is lovably goofy and campy, as evidenced by the fact that so many people have no problem doing his arm-flailing, elbow-dropping dance routine in public without any sense of lost dignity. And, his lyrics  can reach a Lil Wayne level of absurdity that leave us both dumbfounded and  dazzled.

Are the Dwarves the Punk Soundtrack to Sexual Perversion?

the dwarves.jpg
John Gilhooley
They must've eaten the seventh dwarf

Considering they're the most taboo of taboos, rape, incest, necrophilia and pedophilia rarely receive simultaneous play on the silver screen. But in 2010, Serbian director Srdjan Spasojevic dedicated camera time to all of those topics in A Serbian Film--a flick YouTube user feagfilms used to make an unauthorized video for the Dwarves. The ultra-energetic "Stop Me" from 2011's The Dwarves Are Born Again scores a frantic, freaky montage of violent sex, gory vampirism and smashed skulls. "I didn't make the project really or have much to do with it, but I suppose I approve of it," the Dwarves' good-natured ringleader/vocalist Blag Dahlia says. "[The video maker] sort of jacked our song and jacked that imagery, but when I looked at it, I was like, 'Fuck, this is pretty appropriate,' although it isn't what I would have done. I tend to go more vanilla sexually."

Dahlia might be cool with his Chicago-bred, San Francisco-based band soundtracking scenes from the intensely nasty, frequently banned horror-thriller, but the Dwarves' discography and Serbian don't truly sync up. Both entities encourage devious sexual acts but employ vastly different tones. Serbian's aesthetic is frighteningly dark and disconcerting, whereas the band have long engaged in offensive content with a sense of mischievous glee.
Since forming in the early 1980s, the Dwarves have used naked women and blood on their record covers, titled their crucial 1990 album Blood Guts & Pussy, encouraged sex and chaos at shows, perpetuated a death hoax, and generally not given a shit if someone doesn't appreciate their attitude or lyrics. Born Again includes the aptly titled lead track "The
Dwarves Are Still the Best Band Ever," centered around a simple, unambiguous refrain: "Let's just get high and fuck some sluts."

Slidebar Bans Weekly Writer Brandon Ferguson From Premises!

For most drunks, there's nothing remarkable about getting banned from a downtown Fullerton bar. Shit, stroll along Harbor on Friday between the hours of midnight and 2 a.m., and you'll see sidewalks teeming with wayward boozers, some spilling urine and other bodily fluids along the planters. But for this frequent downtown Fullerton patron, getting banned from the Slidebar Rock 'N Roll Kitchen holds a bit of a mystery--sort of.

Jonathan Davis, lead singer of Korn, says he feels Barack Obama has "basically dragged this country down into the worst it's ever been," and calls the president an "Illuminati puppet."

The nu-metal band, who played Los Angeles last night, released their latest, a "dubstep" album, The Path of Totality, Monday (Davis told Billboard Korn was "dubstep before there was dubstep").

Featuring production by the genre's boy wonder, Skrillex, the record includes the song "Illuminati." The track puts forth the conspiracy theory that Obama's decisions are dictated by a secret society called the Illuminati, which Davis says he's studied.

Pulp's Jarvis Cocker: 'I Think the Press Helped to Kill Amy Winehouse'

Jarvis Cocker
Last month, a coroner ruled that Amy Winehouse died from excessive alcohol consumption, having consumed enough alcohol on the day of her death to render her more than five times over the legal drink-drive limit. But Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker says the tabloids are as much to blame for the death of the twenty-seven year old singer.

Cocker told The Guardian:

"Amy Winehouse passed away this year and it was all 'drugs killed Amy Winehouse'. I think that the press killed Amy Winehouse as much as drugs did, because it sends people into that place where they've got no peace, and so they just try to escape. And sometimes you use drugs and drink to do that."

Justin Bieber, You Are Not Alone: 4 Baby Daddy Dramas in Music History

Justinbieber .jpg
Poor Justin Bieber--the 17-year-old isn't even legal to bone yet, and already there's a lady claiming that he's the father of her baby.

Meet 20-year-old (uh, statutory rape, or at least a misdemeanor in California, anyone?) Mariah Yeater, the classy broad whose claiming to have taken the heartthrob's virginity backstage at his show via unprotected sex--which resulted in the aforementioned child. (Way to rain on that whole "perfect boyfriend" image, girl).

Of course, the Biebs is denying the claims, stating that he's not only never had sex with Yeater--but he's never even met her.

To that we say, chin up, Beliebers. Yeater isn't the first girl to cry "baby daddy." From Elvis to Marc Anthony, music has had a long, sordid history of (mostly false) baby daddy claims. Find out who else is on the list after the jump.

Christopher Victorio/OC Weekly
UPDATE, AUGUST 11, 2011, 1:03 P.M.: Within a matter of seconds, not even a minute, the tickets to the Green Day show sold out. Bummer! But don't feel bad if you didn't get a ticket, you're not alone. Many fans are upset too, and they're venting their anger on the band's Facebook page. "This was bullshit," Westminster resident and Green Day fan Zach Hammill wrote commented on the last status uptdate. "As a long time SoCal fan, I'm pretty upset. I was on top of that. I was refreshing my page every .0001 seconds. As soon as the button appeared, I clicked it, put in the code, and still got screwed. I type 74 words per minute."

Those who were lucky enough to purchase tickets are commenting on Facebook too. Fan Anthony Estrada said, "The bar can hold 250 people. Around 75-100 tickets were given already to people associated with the band. So for the fans, it was only 150 tickets left, and since there is a 2 ticket maximum, that's only 75 people that got in. ... And I was one of them."
