The Typical "EDM Fans"

With EDM garnering so much spotlight in the music world lately, plenty of media outlets, businesses conglomerates and showbiz types have turned to EDM as if it just came out of nowhere. Popping up all over the US through music festivals, YouTube sensations, blogs and sold out amphitheaters, it's understandable why everyone (including us) seems to be vying to capture a piece of this audience nowadays. However, whenever you have an influx of reporters, bloggers, TV anchors and social media whores delivering content about the genre, there are always going to be a few attempts that really make us cringe. Whether its an out-of-touch news anchor, or a hipster blog that's long on party pics and short on content, there are some outlets that any EDM lover worth their kandi bracelets should avoid like the plague. For that reason, we've put together a quick list of the top five worst places to get your EDM news.

​Recently, it has come to light that Bobbi Kristina Brown (for those of you who for whatever don't know who she is, that's the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown) started to follow in her famous parents' footsteps at the age of 14, when she was only a freshman. According to a classmate from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, Bobbi Kristina was very nice, but was known as a hard partier.

The source told Hollywoodlife.com that young Bobbi Kristina didn't seem to have "much supervision" and "was living life on the edge." It's only been a few weeks since her mother's death, but it seems like Bobbi Kristina seems to be partying harder than ever, which is saying something if you are familiar with her past.

Jonathan Davis, lead singer of Korn, says he feels Barack Obama has "basically dragged this country down into the worst it's ever been," and calls the president an "Illuminati puppet."

The nu-metal band, who played Los Angeles last night, released their latest, a "dubstep" album, The Path of Totality, Monday (Davis told Billboard Korn was "dubstep before there was dubstep").

Featuring production by the genre's boy wonder, Skrillex, the record includes the song "Illuminati." The track puts forth the conspiracy theory that Obama's decisions are dictated by a secret society called the Illuminati, which Davis says he's studied.
