OC Alt Rockers, Where are they now?

It's not news that OC alternative rockers Faulter and JamisonParker are no longer producing music, but for those of you who followed these bands in the mid 2000's, you may be wondering what they're up to these days.

Andy Carpenter, lead singer of Faulter, has moved away from the limelight and has gone to work as a producer. He has been working with Folk artist Molly Marlette. If you'd like to check Molly out, you're in luck... she is playing at The Gypsy Lounge in Lake Forest on Thursday, June 11. The show starts at 9 pm. Even if you don't like folk music, just watching the 19-year-old play is worth the price of admission (she is insanely cute). If you don't believe me, take a look below. Other acts include The Union Line, Jameson, and The Flying Tourbillon Orchestra.

Another member of Faulter, Bassist Jarred Dooley has found success with Brave Citizens, the rock quartet who just wrapped up their tour with Lydia, PlayRadioPlay, and Eye Alaska on June 6. The band updated fans yesterday via Twitter, "Tour is over, back to writing the record, we'll be in touch Twitterland." (Twitterland sounds like it would be a fun place to hang out).

Alt-rock duo JamisonParker, who broke up in Nov. 2005 after the release of their debut LP Sleepwalker, have continued writing and recording music with separate ventures. Jamison Covington formed E for Explosion, a band that has seen mild success with its first full length album, Reiventing The Heartbeat. Parker Case spent some time touring with Manchester Orchestra and Weatherbox in 2008, and is now back to work with his project, I and The Universe. We haven't seen much from them yet, but they logged into their MySpace page today, which could mean they are working on things. Or they were just bored. I'll let you decide.

If you are curious what other former OC bands are up to these days, drop me a line, and I'll see what I can figure out. Until then, happy listening.
