If you hurry, you can get free tickets to Wu Tang Clan's show at the City National Grove of Anaheim tomorrow. According to our sister paper, Dallas Observer, it's worth it to go, especially if you haven't seen them in the past few years, even though  "the lack of newer tracks made the set feel more like we were in a time machine than witnessing a 'rebirth,' as the tour's title suggested."

​When Fu Manchu perform at the Detroit Bar on Thursday next week, they'll be performing selections from their recent album In Search Of.... The tour of that set actually started at the Detroit Bar a year ago, and throughout, they played the album from beginning to end. They might not do the same for the Jan. 19 show at Detroit Bar, it will definitely be a fun set--especially if you win tickets. We're giving away two pairs for the show! Find out how after the jump.

​Australian comedian Jim Jefferies has been described as the "ever-more-famous angry Antipodean anarchic stand-up comedian whose sick, slick, dick-and-cunt choke-on-your-drink jokes have entertained and offended an ever-increasing number of people" whose DVD Alcoholocaust has gained him rave reviews around the world, is coming to Orange County.
Now, don't worry about the Australian accent--Jefferies' is pretty benign compared to others--you can't miss this show. Especially since we're giving away five pairs of tickets to Jefferies' show at the City National Grove of Anaheim next Friday, December 30!

If you know anything about hip-hop or jazz you know that Thursday's Roy Ayers show at Exchange L.A. is not to be missed. Beyond a rare hometown performance from the prophet of jazz-funk Ayers--one of the most sampled artists in hip-hop, playing a special set with pioneering producer Pete Rock and a full band--you also get cosmic jazz from bass master Thundercat, a world class DJ set from beat junkie J. Rocc, and mind-blowing psychedelic visuals from Brainfeeder's a/v wizard Strangeloop. Lounge DJs include Anthony Valadez, Clifton Weaver, Destroyer, Lee Joseph and Marlon Fuentes, and KCRW's Garth Trinidad hosts.
