Coachella Warm-Up Shows Just Announced

Coachella concert season has officially begun!

It's that time of the year again: Goldenvoice has just announced a slew of pre-Coachella shows for April 2013, and as usual, it does not disappoint. Of special note: How to Destroy Angels (Trent Reznor's side project with wife Mariqueen Maandig Reznor, Atticus Ross and Rob Sheridan) at the Fox Theater Pomona on April 10. (And seriously: Spirtualized at Pappy & Harriets!?) Follow the handy color-coded guide at the top of the chart to find out on-sale dates.

On top of all that, we just got the chance to speak with Jon Halperin, Glass House talent buyer and Goldenvoice's Coachella boutique coordinator--not to mention, proud papa of all these neat pre-Coachella shows.

"I am thrilled to be booking bands I listened to in high school and college, like the Selecter and Dinosaur Jr . . . LEE SCRATCH PERRY IS PLAYING IN MY ROOM!!! Plus, one of my favorite bands of last year, Skinny Lister. Pretty sure that us having alcohol now helps book these older acts."
