Days after Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker died in a motorcycle crash in Huntington Beach, the band have launched a memorial fund to provide assistance to the family of the late singer. All proceeds donated to the official Mitch Lucker Memorial Fund will go towards the education of Lucker's five-year-old daughter Kenadee Lucker. Those who donate $20 or more will receive a commemorative t-shirt.

The outpouring of support via Internet initially caused the band's server to crash immediately so they've also shared the link to the fund on their Facebook page for the time being.

Those who donate $20 or more should include their name, shipping address and t-shirt size (S-4XL) in the comment box at the time of donation. Those who pledge $5 or more should include their full name at the time of donation so the band can add it to the tribute a page coming soon on the band's website.

On Halloween night around 9 p.m., Lucker lost control of his 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle struck a light pole near the intersection of Main and 13th Streets. He was thrown from the bike and the Harley continued sliding south on Main St., until it struck a northbound 2007 Nissan pickup. No one else was injured in the accident. Lucker was treated by paramedics, but succumbed to his injuries shortly after 6 a.m. at UCI Medical Center.

That night, friends and fans of the fallen singer  gathered in Riverside, where Lucker grew up, to have a memorial celebration. A candle light vigil was held in Huntington Beach that was attended by some of Lucker's family members, including his wife of two years, Jolie, and his daughter.

Lucker is at least the second heavy metal star to die in H.B. in the last few years. In 2009, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, drummer of Avenged Sevenfold, died of a drug overdose in his home.

Suicide Silence, who had just played at Mayhem Festival in Devore, was slated to play California Metalfest VI in San Bernardino just after Thanksgiving on November 22.
