Halloween is less than a week away, but as you know the EDM scene can stretch out a holiday like nobody's business. And with the potential for slutty costumes and thematic whimsey being at an all time high in October, it's obvious that this is one of the biggest party weekends of the year. No doubt you and your friends have already staked out the parties happening in the most exclusive (i.e. expensive) clubs and events in Los Angeles to San Diego, but why waste your money on gas? You're smarter than that. We broke down a list of the best Halloween parties for our avid electronic music fans right here in Orange County.
10. Posch Saturdays Halloween Ball with Donald Glaude
Located off MacArthur Blvd in Irvine, Posch is a French Mediterranean restaurant that turns into a swanky lounge at night. Page Productions and White Rabbit are putting together their First Annual Halloween Ball sponsored by Patron and boasting a Haunted House theme. Not only is there no cover on their guest list, but they will be handing out Halloween goodie bags and giving away a $1,000 costume contest. House music pioneer Donald Gluade is bringing his funky sounds and incredible raw energy with opening sounds by local favorite MEHDI. A sure night of goovy music and upscale partying on Saturday October 27 for those wanting to avoid massives.
9. Bassology Featuring Helicopter Showdown at
the Observatory Ten Nightclub
Known for their unique concert style atmosphere and bass heavy shows
The Observatory and Inner Vision Events are bringing you Bassology on Halloween night. Expect a night of booming bass with sounds from San Francisco's Helicopter Showdown with opening support from Trevor Kelly and OC favorites Slander. Helicopter Showdown's unique mix of heavy dubstep and electro house is sure to send tremors down your spine. The dirty dub and trapstyle creates a creepy atmosphere full of bass-in-your-face for a spooky Halloween vibe. We just hope the bouncers at the new venue change let everyone with shorts in as the usual dub fans don't really dress club-like.
