Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival has a way of turning Golden Gate Park into a magical land of windmills, amazing artists, gourmet food and booze that bombards your senses for three days straight. As soon as you descend onto this massive sprawl of good times, it's almost too easy to get carried away. With that in mind, we've put together a list of helpful reminders that just might save your life as you embark on Day 2 of the fest, featuring performances from Metallica,Sigur Rós, The Kills, Alabama Shakes and shit tons more. The following list is a life-saving guide of "Do's and Don't's" from what we learned yesterday will surely come in handy.

 5.Bring Layers

Mark Twain once said "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." As we walk around here freezing our asses off, we couldn't agree more. Layer up. There are many lockers available if you don't want to carry your shit around. Trust us, relying on your massive alcohol buzz isn't going to cut it when the marine layer comes rolling in.

4. Bring a Water Bottle and Use it Often

Don't let the cold weather fool you, hydration is always key as your burning you're calf muscles non-stop for an entire weekend. There are handy stations that will fill up your bottle for free and you can sleep better at night knowing your saving the earth on plastic bottle at a time.
