KROQ's Weenie Roast to be Held on Cinco de Mayo

KROQ/106.7 FM's annual Weenie Roast is back, earlier than ever. This year's edition--the 20th--is dubbed Weenie Roast y Fiesta, and will be held on May 5 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine.
On the line up is Coldplay, Incubus, the Offspring, Silversun Pickups, Pennywise, Angels & Airwaves, the Dirty Heads, Garbage, Awolnation, Grouplove, Walk the Moon and Of Monsters and Men.

Tickets go on sale for KROQ Street Team members on Thursday, April 5, at noon through LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.com. There will be no phone, box office or Ticketmaster outlet sales. Click here to sign up for the KROQ Street Team and get a password to buy tickets. Proceeds will benefit Heal the Bay and Surfrider Foundation.

Coldplay, which played the Weenie Roast as newbies in 2001, is headlining the event a month before they play their sold-out set of shows at the Hollywood Bowl. Offspring, Pennywise and Silversun Pickups are promoting new albums.
