Coachella: Sahara Tent Sets Moved Up 20 Minutes; Nero Complains
| Nero |
Not everyone was happy about the change; British electronic music act Nero yesterday posted on their Facebook page:
What do Coachella think they will achieve by moving all acts not performing on the main stage tomorrow forward by 20 minutes?
We were promised a night time slot when we accepted the offer to play, the week before that turned into a daylight start, dusk middle and night time end. Moving us 20 minutes forward will result in the majority of our show being in the day light.
The organization of this festival has been quite a surprise to us and not what we expected from what is hailed as one of the best festivals in the world. I won't go into too many details other than to say overall our experience of the festival this year has been pretty shocking.
Rumor has it that the Avicii camp was upset that they had to compete with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the Tupac hologram last week, which took a huge chunk of the audience from Avicii's "headlining" set. Goldenvoice reportedly accommodated the 22-year-old Swedish DJ by moving up his time slot 20 minutes earlier so that fans could still catch an hour of Avicii and then head over to the main stage for the most talked-about Coachella performance this year. We've reached out to both Avicii and Goldenvoice to clear up the rumor; stay tuned for updates.
