Don Cornelius, RIP: Five Legendary Artists on 'Soul Train'

Don Cornelius, creator of the TV show Soul Train, was found dead at his Mulholland Drive home this morning of suicide. Cornelius will be best remembered as the man who helped funkify the American public. He helped break down racial barriers with via one of the first shows to showcase black people on TV.  It aired from 1970 to 2006.

According to the AP: "Officers responding to a report of a shooting found Cornelius at his Mulholland Drive home at around 4 a.m., police said. He was pronounced dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at 4:56 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center." Cornelius was 75.
