At the Drive-In Reunion At Coachella?

We're expecting the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to announce its 2012 lineup this week; on Friday, organizers tweeted a pic that says "Next Week," so we're checking the feeds more compulsively than usual.


Thus far, the festival has been linking to band videos, presumably dropping hints about this year's lineup. There have been links for Jimmy Cliff (yeah!), Breakbot (hell yeah!), Azealia Banks, Araab Muzik and Housse de Racket.

So who's next? It's fun to speculate. One method is to check out who's on tour in the area and don't have any SoCal dates booked around Coachella, as is the case with The Black Keys.

Another tell-tale sign are reunion announcements, as is the case with At the Drive-In, which broke news of 2012 reunion minutes ago on Twitter. Always a choice venue for big-time reunions, Coachella would make complete sense for the influential hardcore-proggers to get back to business melting faces in the desert heat.

Nothing about an ATDI tour has been officially announced as of this post, but until then, let the rumors fly!
